May 18th Town Hall (MEMBERS ONLY)

11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Eastern Time (UTC/GMT -04:00) will be held over Zoom.  The first ½ hour of the town hall will be a general meeting for SFBTA members, and the remainder of the time will be allotted to a professional development opportunity.  If you are a member, please scroll down this webpage to "Register for upcoming events'" and click on the May 18th  town hall link to  register.

During the professional development portion of this town hall, Tara Gretton and Vicky Essebag will present a workshop titled: Relationspaces Power BurstsThis will be an interactive, open space opportunity, where participants will explore what works in relationships and what they can do differently to access their best hopes. Tara Gretton (Bath, UK) and Vicky Essebag (Toronto, CAN) - Solution-Focused practitioners, trainers, instructional leaders and consultants, have created Relationspaces Power Bursts. In this workshop, they will be asking three-to-four thought-provoking power burst questions. Participants will reflect upon each of these in breakout rooms and share back with the large group.

2024 SFBTA Research Award Call

The SFBTA Research Awards are aimed at fostering the growth of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy by encouraging original research in solution-focused practices, and to support students, faculty, researchers, and clinicians who wish to study solution-focused practices. The 2024 SFBTA Research Awards will provide up to $1,500.00 to support ongoing or proposed project(s). Priority will be given to research that supports empirical evidence of SFBT practices, mechanisms of change, meta-analyses on SFBT interventions, or other research which could directly or indirectly investigate the effectiveness of SFBT practices.
Deadline of submission: July 15, 2024
