Conference Venue:
The conference will be at the Banff Centre for Conferences in the Kinnear Centre. The Banff Centre was established in 1933 to enhance the culture of the town. Today artists come from all over the world to study and perform at the Centre. The Banff Centre has a beautiful campus about a 20 minute walk from the Banff town site. They have a recreational facility with a 25 metre pool, steam rooms, hot tub, running track, indoor climbing wall, badminton and squash courts, a gymnasium, and a fully-equipped weight room. Banff Facts:
Banff is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and is a world-famous destination for outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers. Banff is famous for its incredible landscape and is the highest town in Canada at 4537 feet. From almost anywhere in the town, there is a breathtaking view of the mountains. There are a number of relaxing walks people can take in and around town. For those wanting a view from atop the mountains, the Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola will take you there! For sports enthusiasts, there are incredible places to run, bike, and hike. Banff also boasts a variety of excellent restaurants, bars, and live music. There are often live concerts and performances at the Banff Centre and for those wanting to soak in the environs, there is the Parks Canada Upper Hot Springs.
