Online​​Nominations Open for 2027

Thank you for your interest in nominations to the SFBTA Board. As per our By-Laws - Article 4, Point 4, Section 1: “In addition to nominations made from the floor at the Annual Members Meeting, nominations may be made by submitting a brief bio and/or statement of interest to the SFBTA President.”

There will be ONE position available for the Board of Directors of the SFBTA for a three (3) year term starting January of 2027. You may nominate yourself and/or someone else (with their consent).

The ONLINE nomination process is available until October 31, 2026, at the following link:

After October 31st, if you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else, you are welcome to make a nomination FROM THE FLOOR at the lunch/members meeting to be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at the conference in Cleveland, Ohio

Suggested average time commitments on the board 

  • President: 8 to 12 hours a month (about 2-3 hours a week)
  • Executive Board (President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary) 4-6 hours a month (1-2 hours a week) 
  • Board member at large 3-4 hours a month 

These times include meetings (One 2-hr monthly board meeting, committee meetings if applicable), answering and acting on emails received, and any other networking required to advance SFBTA's goals. 

Who is Eligible to be on the Board?

Any current member of the SFBTA nominated by self or by another current member is eligible. There is 1 vacancy for the 2027-2029 term on the SFBTA Board of Directors. Voting for these positions will be done on November 7th, at the Annual Members' Meeting.
